Is the image uploaded to a server for conversion?

No. Reading and converting PNG, JPG, and WebP files happens in your browser, and the selected image is never sent to Congdy Coding's servers.

Does changing the image format change its resolution?

The pixel dimensions remain unchanged. For JPG and WebP, image detail and file size may vary with the selected quality.

What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with your selected background color. The default is white.

Can the converted file be larger?

Yes. Converting a photo to PNG or resaving an already compressed file at high quality may increase its size. Check the estimate before downloading.

Can I convert an animated GIF?

You can select a GIF, but only its first displayed frame is converted to a static PNG, JPG, or WebP image.
